A Question of Heart was created so I would have a place to track my journey of writing a novel. When I came up with the idea, my story was in the form of a complete novella titled We're a Happy Family. I wrote this in 2010, when I was enrolled in a Creative Writing Capstone as a college senior. My goal was, and still is, to expand this piece into a full-length novel.
